Health Requirements

Health requirements: Required biannual vaccinations: flu/rhino. Required annual vaccinations: Rabies, Eastern Equine Encephalitis, Western Equine Encephalitis, Tetanus, Potomac Horse Fever, and West Nile Virus. Optional vaccinations (strongly recommended): Lyme, Strangles. Botulism vaccination is required for all field boarded horses if they are boarded with FWFB at a time when round bales are being fed. Boarders choosing not to vaccinate their horses against botulism acknowledge that the risk of contracting botulism is increased by consuming round baled hay and acknowledge that contracting botulism carries a high risk of serious illness and death to the horse.
